A line chart could be produced in Stand out within minutes. The prerequisite is to have already joined the appropriate data inside a table. The road chart shows fluctuations within the data by having climbing and climbing down line running right.
How to make a line chart in Excel?
- First, you need your table with the two associated data sets or two columns. It is best if they already have a title.
- Now mark the area that you want to show in a line chart.
- Now click on the Insert tab in the menu bar and select Charts.
- You should now be offered a line chart (“2D line”) as the first option. Confirm the dialog and that your line chart is ready.
In Excel 2003 and older versions, you must first select the chart type manually and only then select the table area with the desired data. Of course, you can also insert records with multiple columns:

You can edit the data shown by clicking the plus symbol at the top right of the diagram. For example, the data labeling can be adjusted later. If you press the right mouse button in the chart, you can format the axes to change the scaling. If you first click on one of the lines with the left and then with the right mouse button, you can also make changes for this. For example, you change the color or contour of the chart line.
