Joni Mitchell in Trouble now!
Singer Joni Mitchell announced that they will remove her music from Spotify for the “lies” that are broadcast around the platform about covid-19, following a similar measure adopted by Neil Youthful.
Inside a statement published on her behalf website, the “Big Yellow Taxi” singer states she supports Neil Youthful, who required on Spotify by criticizing the questionable podcast by Joe Rogan, keen on conspiracy theories.
“I have made the decision to drag my music off Spotify,” authored Mitchell.
“Irresponsible individuals are distributing lies that cost lives,” he added.
“I stand in unity with Neil Youthful and also the global scientific and medical communities about this issue.”
Mitchell’s website also printed a duplicate of the open letter to Spotify from doctors and scientists advocating the organization to produce an anti-disinformation policy to combat Rogan’s repeated falsehoods and conspiracy theories concerning the coronavirus pandemic.
Spotify didn’t immediately respond to the announcement.
Youthful, a singer and songwriter of songs which include “Heart of Gold” and “Harvest Moon,” gave the woking platform an ultimatum to choose from him or Rogan.
He accused Spotify of distributing falsehoods about vaccines that may make the dying of individuals who have confidence in the messages.
Rogan’s podcast has countless listeners and he signed a multi-billion dollar deal (some sources cite $100 million) of exclusivity with Spotify this past year.
Critics repeat the podcast has turned into a platform for conspiracy theories and misinformation, particularly about Covid-19.
Rogan frustrated vaccination among more youthful people and promoted the unauthorized utilization of the drug ivermectin (an antiparasitic) to deal with herpes.
