The increasing energy costs are affecting the whole economy: Many companies wish to postpone expenses and withdraw from business areas. Because of the sharp increase in energy prices, many companies are postponing investments and raising prices. This is the effect of a representative survey commissioned through the Foundation to see relatives’ Companies. The German Press Agency offered the outcomes. Rainer Kirchdörfer, mind from the Foundation, stated Germany had dramatically lost its competitiveness in energy policy before the present crisis. “We want an insurance policy that corrects this distortion of competition and stops energy prices from soaring.”
Almost all the companies surveyed want to raise prices
According to researching the market with the Ifo Institute, forty per cent of knowledge mills are already entirely influenced by the explosion in energy costs. Since several companies have guaranteed themselves through extended-term supply contracts, the price increase does not come with an immediate impact everywhere. One 4th of the companies pointed out they expected the main burden from more excellent energy prices inside the season’s partner. Another quarter of the companies surveyed expects this to happen in 2023. Almost ninety per cent of the companies surveyed mentioned they’d probably raise prices just like a countermeasure—seventy-five per cent desire to expand investments in energy efficiency.
Reduce investments, give up business areas
Around 46 per cent of the companies stated that they would like to reduce investments. Only a small sector of the companies wish to relocate their business premises abroad. Based on the survey, 11 per cent are thinking about quitting energy-intensive business areas entirely – 14 % are thinking about job cuts in Germany. Based on the foundation, 1,100 companies required part in the survey, including 950 family companies. Based on the foundation, laptop computers are required from March 22 to April 11.
